Kim Kardashian (Getty Images) It's been an interesting year for Kim Kardashian. About this time last year she was getting serious with Kris Humphries. Then they got engaged in May, married in August, and by Halloween had filed for divorce.
But, as the New Year approaches, the reality star isn't letting a little thing like a 72-day marriage and divorce fiasco get her down. She's chalking the whole thing up to life lessons. Kardashian said in an interview Thursday at the opening of Kardashian Khaos in Las Vegas (via Us magazine): "I'm really thinking that 2011 was a lot of learning lessons. 2012, I'm just excited for the New Year and the new me.”
And, she claims she's certainly not on the hunt for a new dude right now (even though she and Kanye West were apparently flirting up a storm earlier this week). "I'm not looking," she insisted, adding, however, that this second divorce hasn't deterred her from thinking she'll eventually find someone she can stay married to. "I believe in love...always," she said.
For now, it seems like she's focusing on her brand and acting career instead. The brunette star raked in north of $12 million, just in 2011! And, she recently filmed her first major movie role in The Marriage Counselor, appropriately enough.
