Justin Bieber Made Anthony Kiedis Cry

It's a rough time for the music world as musicians continue to mourn the loss of Amy Winehouse. A private funeral for the late singer was held Tuesday in London, drawing Winehouse's family as well as close collaborator Mark Ronson and longtime BFF Kelly Osbourne. Osbourne had fashioned her platninum blond hair into a voluminous beehive, no doubt in tribute to her beloved friend.

  • The commentary on Amy's death continues to pour out, as friends and colleagues share their thoughts on her immeasurable talent and the tragic brevity of her brilliant career. Adele wrote that Winehouse "paved the way for artists like me and made people excited about British music again." Lady Gaga opined, "She lived jazz, she lived the blues." George Michael called her "the most soulful vocalist [Britain] has ever seen," and Kelly Clarkson wrote, "I'm angry. What a waste of a gifted person."

  • Katy Perry told Good Morning America that Winehouse's passing affected her personally:"It gave me a real gratefulness for my husband, who got clean when he was 27." Perry later added, "I see how much work it takes to be clean and sober when you have, you know, addiction on your hands."

  • Carey Mulligan may have more to celebrate than her plum role in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming film adaptation of The Great Gatsby. UK tabloid The Sun claims that Mulligan recently became betrothed to Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford (the article actually begins with "They're keeping mum about it"). There's something about Mulligan showing off a new diamond ring at Somerset's posh Babington House. Considering these two have been together less than half a year, we'll believe it when we see it.

  • The latest in Jewish rappers is 15-year-old Pablo Dylan, the grandson of folk legend Bob Dylan and son of music video director Jesse Dylan, who just dropped a mixtape called 10 Minutes. Dylan has already started giving interviews, telling AllHipHop, "I mean, really, my grandfather, I consider him the Jay-Z of his time." He does cite Gramps as a musical influence.

  • Anthony Kiedis is a Level III Belieber: He's been moved to tears by the 17-year-old pop phenom. The Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman told the UK's Q Magazine (via ContactMusic) "I sat on an airplane recently, coming from Hawaii to Los Angeles, with Rick Rubin just across the aisle, watching the Justin Bieber movieNever Say Never. I cried twice during that film and I want the world to know that!" Kiedis was moved by all the crying, screaming little girls. That doesn't sound the least bit creepy.

  • In other Bieber news, Ben Affleck is the latest aging dude to cop the Biebs' old haircut. (Video at right)

  • Finally, the craziest fan-related story today comes from country music superstar Dolly Parton, who has had her fair share of ridiculous run-ins. She recently told theWindy City Times, "Years ago when I first started being a big star I had fans that were fanatical. It was when 'Jolene' was a big hit. We came home one day and there was a baby in a box at our gate with a note in it. The note said, 'My name is Jolene, my momma has left me here and she wants you to have me.' Of course, we all freaked out! ... We immediately called Human Services and took care of the baby until they got there. We never did know or hear anything about it. I knew nothing else. What do you do in a situation like that? There are some loony people in this world!"
