The singer's Montreal-area home was broken into Monday, and police arrested the trespasser shortly after he helped himself to a snack and a bath.
Daniel Bedard was arrested on Monday after police responded to an alarm at the estate. When they entered, officers were met by a surprisingly casual Bedard.
"The suspect was coming down the big staircase and was asking: 'Hey, guys what are you doing here?' " police spokesman Franco Di Genova told the Associated Press. "So the officers replied, 'What are you doing here?' And they proceeded to put him under arrest."
If Bedard was looking for the singer, he was sorely disappointed. Dion and her family weren't home at the time. Police said the trespasser made it into the house by jumping a fence and finding a garage door opener in an unlocked car.
