The 20-year-old was reportedly intoxicated when she left celebrity hangout Lavo in Manhattan at around 3:35am Sunday (local time), NYPD sources told The New York Post.
She jumped into a cab to head back to where she was staying.
But for some reason she started arguing with the driver and quickly got out, the sources said.
Once back on the street, she was suddenly grabbed from behind and dragged into the nearby alley, where she was assaulted, the sources said.
It is believed the woman told police she could not remember the exact spot where the rape took place.
Police have released a sketch ( Above) of the suspected attacker, whom they described as a middle-aged man, about 188cm and 85kg. Please share with friends and family so this culprit would be brought to book.
