It's been roughly six-and-a-half years since Abigail Breslin charmed us in Little Miss Sunshine, but a new movie promo photo shoot reminds us she's not a little girl anymore.
Where has the time gone?! It seems like only yesterday we were rooting for little Olive to defy the distasteful beauty standards of a second-rate beauty contest in Little Miss Sunshine. Now Abigail Breslin is looking all grown up, fronting a rock band, and posing for fashion photographer provocateur Tyler Shields in promotional photos for a new movie, his first directorial effort.
The 16-year-old actress is set to star in Final Girl with Shields' girlfriend, Francesca Eastwood (Clint's daughter), and Hunger Games actor Wes Bentley. The movie is due out sometime in 2013, and while little is known of it, the controversial Shields will likely find some creative ways to get the word out — like in this case publishing vaguely sexualizing photos of his underage star online.
For her part, Breslin sounds like a regular music, and fashion-obsessed teenager. Besides starring in the movie, she also sings on the first song released from its soundtrack, "Within Me a Lunatic Sings," by New York-based band Stargroves. According to her Twitter, she also fronts her own band, called CABB. And back in September she blended in so well at New York Fashion Week we would have been hard pressed to pick her out from the assembled fashionistas.
