Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City Team Up for 'Good Time'

Carly Rae Jepsen is determined to provide the soundtrack to your entire summer. The former Canadian Idol contestant is holding strong in the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Call Me Maybe," that song everyone and his mother can't help but cover, but she's already released what will likely be her next hit, "Good Time," a bouncy, synthy, radio-friendly collaboration with Owl City.

While "Good Time" fails to break new lyrical ground, it's exactly the sort of bubbly, saccharine sunny pop that young folk seek during the summer months, when the world falls most easily for a preset clap. The song practically screams "Play me at your barbecue!" but without any of the affable dorkiness of Carly's previous hit. It's no "Call Me Maybe," but in terms of Top 40 radio, it's a layup.
