Rihanna's Wild Night at the Met Ball Ends in the Hospital

Rihanna had a grand old time at the Met's Costume Institute Gala on Monday—so grand, she ended up hooked to an IV. Fun times! 

Rihanna was well enough to plant smooches on rapper Rick Ross at Monday evening's Costume Institute Gala, but the Bajan superstar's big night out took its toll on her body. On Tuesday, the singer tweeted a picture of her arm fixed up with an IV, her talon-like black nails on full display.


Though MediaTakeOut claims Rihanna was hospitalized due to "exhaustion and dehydration," the singer has been battling the flu for the past several days. She bowed out of a dress rehearsal for Saturday Night Live over the weekend, reportedly angering taskmaster Lorne Michaels. 


Hopefully Rihanna takes some time to rest up, as she's got a very important gig on the horizon: She'll be singing her new hit, "Where Have You Been," on American Idol on May 23.
