The 19-year-old has undoubtedly been struggling with the loss of her mom, and it seems as though she's been comforted by boyfriend and maybe-fiance. Brown and Gordon, who was unofficially adopted by Houston 10 years ago, have been spending a lot of time together. They've been spotted kissing and holding hands in public. And, just a few days ago, the teen emerged with a sparkly new ring on her left hand. Sources say the bling once belonged to Houston and it is of the engagement variety.
"Yes, they are engaged, but the family is trying to coax her away from it," an unnamed source
told People.com.
Another insider, who undoubtedly knows everything, told the mag: "Nick asked Krissi about a week ago to marry him." That particular source did not know if Brown had said "Yes," however.
Naturally, the couple has yet to say boo about their relationship -- except in vague terms on Gordon's Twitter account. "Yea we got a little closer and what!!!" he wrote a week ago.

Why so defensive? Well, apparently Brown's family does not approve of the relationship. Grandma Cissy Houston reportedly wants Gordon out of the Atlanta home Whitney owned, where Brown has been staying since her mom's death. And, the teen supposedly broke the dating news to her pals at a BBQ last week, but no one was jumping up and down in excitement. TMZ reports things got so awkward between the 19-year-old and her friends that they just changed the subject. Yikes. No word on what Bobbi Kristina's dad Bobby Brown has to say about the whole thing.
As for whether or not the pair are actually engaged, stay tuned.
