Kim Kardashian is one lucky lady. The reality star just walked away from the record-breaking Elizabeth Taylor auction with a pair of the legendary actress' Lorraine Schwartz bangles. The $64,900 purchase, Kim explained, is priceless to her.
"I never thought I could own a piece of Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry," she said of the jade bracelets, "She wore them constantly during the final years of her life and I believe they carry her spirit." While those of us with adoration for the late actress may be a bit, well, jealous of this questionably deserved addition to Kim K's closet, we can't overlook the fact that she did conduct the last interview with Liz in a special for Harper's Bizarre.
The truth is, no one can truly replicate the intangible essence of Elizabeth Taylor's glamour—even with her jewels. "I adore wearing gems, but not because they are mine," the iconic beauty once said, "You can't possess radiance, you can only admire it."
