Nicolas Cage has once again proven he lives a life infinitely more outrageous and unintentionally hilarious than any other star in Hollywood. And this time, it doesn't involve his finances!
While promoting his latest film, Trespass, at the Toronto International Film Festival, the actor ironically revealed (viaReuters) he was once awoken in the middle of the night by a naked man brandishing an icy treat. "It was two in the morning. I was living in Orange County at the time and was asleep with my wife. I opened my eyes and there was a naked man wearing my leather jacket eating a Fudgesicle in front of my bed," he told reporters in Canada.
If this story had come from anyone not named Nic Cage -- an actor who's made a habit of being outrageous -- we may not have believed it. Alas, the star appears completely genuine -- and traumatized. "I know it sounds funny," he told reporters. "But it was horrifying."
Most people would jump at the opportunity to live in Newport Beach. With its palm trees, perfect climate and multi-million dollar mansions, the wealthy coastal community is home to a number of famous faces, including NBA star Kobe Bryant and Green Day front man Billy Joe Armstrong. Yet, the Fudgesicle incident left Cage so shaken, he quickly packed up his $276,000 dinosaur skull and headed to the Bahamas, where he's lived ever since.
