With 'Jersey Shore' Back, What Do We Already Know About Season 4?

Jenni+Farley in Jersey Shore Cast Goes Shopping in Central Florence 2
Jersey Shore cast Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, Paul 'Pauly D' DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, Jenni 'JWoww' Farley, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola and Deena Nicole Cortese go sightseeing in Florence. (Bauer Griffin)more pics »Jersey Shore returns to MTV tonight, finally giving us a glimpse into the cast's already-infamous extended trip to Italy. Enough rumors emerged from Florence while the show was filming that even if we haven't seen the final product, we know at least a few plot points in this season's coming debauchery.

Jersey Shore Stars Out in Florence1. Snooki Hits a Cop Car

In one of the most-reported Jersey Shore incidents from Italy, Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi had her Italian driver's license suspended after she drove into the back of a police car that was escorting her through the streets of Florence. While no one was seriously injured, the two officers in the car were checked out in a hospital and placed on medical leave for a week. Snooki used the opportunity to get a few laughs when she showed up in the streets of Florence wearing a neck brace the next day (see picture above).

2. Ronnie and Sammi Get Back Together

This is probably not news to any true Shore fans, but volatile on-again/ off-again couple Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola will go from off to on-again during the show.

3. Ronnie and the Situation Get in a Fist Fight

When we say that Ronnie and Sammi's relationship is volatile, well this season is no different. Back in May pictures emerged that showed Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentinowith a swollen red face and Ronnie with some bandaged knuckles. The word is that Ronnie and Sammi got in a fight and when they got back to the cast's apartment, Ronnie took his aggression out on Mike. The two got into an argument and traded at least a few blows by the looks of things. Hopefully we'll see exactly how it all went down when the show airs.

4. GTL Is Pretty Much Abandoned

The Jersey Shore guys had a hard time keeping up with their famous Gym, Tan, Laundry routine. Vinny Guadagnino says they "rarely made it to the gym" while in Italy, and "going to the laundromat, you have to haul your luggage through friggin' Italian villages. That made us stop doing certain things in our routine."

But it sounds like tanning was the biggest problem. Producer SallyAnn Salsano explained: “Tanning salons are basically one bed in the back of a perfume store. There’d be one stand-up spray booth back there, so all of them would just stand in line waiting to use it. And they couldn’t find their favorite bronzers.”

So did the Shore cast spend any time exploring Florence's rich cultural and historical offerings? Nah. Paul 'DJ Pauly D' DelVecchiosummed it up best: "We passed the Duomo (pictured in the background of the image at right) every single day, but I didn't know exactly what it was. Now they told us that it's the highest building in Firenze; they could not build anything higher. All I knew was that it was just a church."

As anyone who's ever visited Italy, read a book about Italian food or even seen a few episodes of No Reservations knows, Italian food is not the same as Italian-American food. This little detail was lost on theShore cast, who were apparently disappionted with their food options in Florence. Producer Salsano explained: "Italian food in Italy is not like the Italian food in America. They went on a mad hunt for chicken parm and it was just not happening. I had my mom Fed-Ex me Pringles and Crystal Light. Everybody missed a lot of back-home creature comforts."

7. So Are Actual Italian Girls

According to Salsano, the Shore guys didn't have much luck chasing after Italian girls. Not to worry, Salsano said Florence had plenty of American tourists to go around. "American college students are far easier to get home at night than Italian girls," she said.
