Will Smith and Jada-Pinkett Smith are headed for divorce after 13 years of marriage, according to a tabloid report from In Touch Weekly. Reps for the couple have so far not not backed up this story, so we still remain extremely wary until we see some official confirmation.
Actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith have been married for 13 years and have two children together, Jaden and Willow. Jada Pinkett-Smith is also stepmother to Trey, Will Smith’s son from a previous marriage to fashon design student Sheree Zampino.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith met in 1990 when she auditioned to play the part of his girlfriend on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. She was rejected for the role but lucked out by later landing Smith as a real life boyfriend instead. The two were married in a lavish wedding in 1997.
In Touch magazine claims they will reveal all the details about the Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith split in their upcoming issue. The tabloid claims they have the inside scoop from an anonymous ‘insider’.
The only comment so far from reps for either star has been a confused ramble to TMZ.com by Pinkett-Smith rep Karynne Tencer when the tabloid site called her for confirmation. “What? In Touch said that? I know nothing aobut this … Lord. I’m going back to bed,” she allegedly said.
An unidentified family member reportedly told RadarOnline.com that the rumor was a whole lot of BS. “This is absolutely not true,” the source allegedly said. “No way are they splitting up. They are totally together and are not separating.”
Until and unless one of their reps says it is so, we’re placing this story in the realm of seriously unconfirmed and nasty rumor with little to no facts to back it up.

Today in shocking celebrity split stories that are unlikely to be true: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have reportedly separated after 13 years together.
UPDATE: Will and Jada responded to the rumors this afternoon, stating: "Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact."
Will's son Trey previously posted on Twitter that the breakup rumors were false. He wrote: "Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split! False information ... its not true RETWEET!!! Everyone can think what they want ... even if its not true."
Jada's rep also chimed in, shutting down rumors that the split was caused by the actress' alleged affair with her newly single Hawthorne co-star Marc Anthony. "All the rumors regarding Marc Anthony and Jada are false. Completely untrue. As for [the reports of a split between] Will and Jada, I'm not commenting on their personal life," Karynne Tencer told People.
Anthony's rep echoed the sentiments: "We unequivocally deny this. Enough is enough. There are families involved, children involved, friendships involved. This is NOT true."
The info originally came from tabloid InTouch Weekly, which isn't the most reputable source for factual
news, but we gave this story a bit more credit because it was picked up by TMZ. Now, the site might be in the business of salacious celeb gossip, however they have broken some huge stories -- like Michael Jackson's death, Britney Spears' divorce, Brittany Murphy's passing, Paris Hilton's jail sentence, Mel Gibson's anti-Semetic rant, and more.
The alleged split seemed a bit shocking considering the famous couple appears to have a happy, healthy relationship and family. They're even Zimbio's 6th hottest couple of 2011 with a staying power score of a perfect 10. Will and Jada are nothing short of adorable together, their kids Willow and Jaden are pretty awesome, not to mention talented, and the couple made the world a better place by opening an elementary school together.
However, their relationship was a bit unconventional. The couple talked about their open marriage and admitted getting physical with someone else wasn't off the table -- as long as there was a discussion about it beforehand.
Will said in a 2008 interview: "If it came down to it, then one would say to the other: 'Look, I need to have sex with somebody. Now I’m not going to do it if you don’t approve of it.' In our marriage vows, we didn't say 'forsaking all others.' We said, 'You will never hear I did something afterward.' Because if that happens, the relationship is destroyed."

Surprising Splits
The whole open marriage thing is very tricky, and typically has a low success rate, but these two had apparently been making it work for over a decade. They said "I do" at the Cloisters Mansion in Baltimore on New Year's Eve 1997 after meeting on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air back in 1990. Jada auditioned for the role of Will's character's girlfriend but producers said she was too short. Though the onscreen relationship didn't work out, the two remained friends and began dating in 1995.
As of this morning, TMZ had contacted Jada's rep, Karynne Tencer, who said she was in the dark about the split. She said: "What? In Touch said that? I know nothing about this ... Lord. I'm going back to bed."
